Frequently Asked

  • What do I wear?
You need to wear something loose and comfortable that you can easily move around in. You can either be bare foot or wear socks however, should you choose to wear socks during the class, please ensure they are non-slip.
  • What shall I bring?
Please bring an exercise mat with you to the class. Depending on the venue, we may have some spare but we cannot gurarantee it. Also bring a bottle of water in case you need it. You are also welcome to bring your own blocks, straps or resistance bands. We have blocks and resistance bands available, but understand that some people would prefer to use their own.
  • Where are you based?
This will depend on which venue you are attending! You will receive a confirmation email upon booking which will give you the details you need, but if you have any queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • I'm pregnant, can I still do Pilates?"
Yes! You absolutely can, provided your doctor is happy for you to do so. However, we would recommend that you attend specific pre or post natal classes, with an instructor that specialises in pregnancy Pilates. This is because there are various recommendations for what you should or should not do when you are pregnant.
  • I have injuries or an existing medical problem, can I still do Pilates?"
This will depend on the medical issue that you have. We are not medical experts and it is essential that you seek advice from your Doctor before taking part in any exercise. We will require sign off from your Doctor to confirm that you are able to take part in the class and every client needs to complete a screening form to confirm they are suitable to take part in our classes. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us to have a chat.
  • I feel unfit/inflexible, can I still do Pilates?"
Of course you can - we all have to start somewhere! Pilates will help to build your strength and flexibility. If you have any worries about joining a class, please do speak to us and we would be happy to have a chat with you to put your mind at ease.
